Josh Shapiro has served as Governor of Pennsylvania since 2023. Before becoming governor, he served two terms as Pennsylvania's Attorney General, where he led investigations into the Catholic Church sexual abuse scandal and fought opioid manufacturers.
Republican
Stacy Garrity has served as Pennsylvania State Treasurer since 2021, becoming the first Republican to hold that office in 26 years. A retired Army colonel who served more than 27 years in the Reserve and National Guard, including deployments to Iraq and Kuwait, she also worked as a banking executive in western Pennsylvania before entering elected office. As treasurer she returned a record $5.7 billion in unclaimed property to Pennsylvanians and championed financial transparency. She is the 2026 Republican nominee for governor, challenging incumbent Josh Shapiro.
