Kathy Hochul has served as Governor of New York since August 2021, when she assumed office after Governor Andrew Cuomo resigned. She was elected to a full term in November 2022. Before becoming governor, she served as New York's Lieutenant Governor and previously as a U.S. House member representing western New York.
