U.S. House, U.S. Senate, Governor, statewide offices
What’s being decided
The general election determines who holds each office. All registered voters may participate. Winning candidates take office in January 2027.
Candidates
U.S. Senate
Republican · Incumbent since 2011
Jerry Moran has represented Kansas in the U.S. Senate since 2011 and previously served seven terms in the U.S. House. He chairs the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee and has been one of the Senate's most dedicated advocates for veterans' healthcare and benefits. He is also a strong voice for Kansas's agricultural economy.
Republican · Incumbent since 2021
Roger Marshall has represented Kansas in the U.S. Senate since 2021. An OB-GYN physician who practiced in Great Bend, Kansas for more than twenty years, he previously served three terms in the U.S. House. He sits on the Senate Agriculture and Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committees.
Governor
Democratic · Incumbent since 2019
Laura Kelly has served as Governor of Kansas since 2019 and is seeking her third term, an unusual position for a Democrat in a deeply Republican state. A former Kansas state senator, she has built her political success around pragmatic governance, bipartisan economic development, and fiscal stability after the fiscal damage caused by her predecessor's aggressive tax-cutting experiment.
